Dr Ashleigh Moreland
Dr Ashleigh Moreland holds a PhD in Neuroplasticity and is the founder of Re-MIND Institute. She is a qualified neurophysiologist, clinical hypnotherapist, psychotherapist, and counsellor who specialises in helping adults understand and heal from the lasting effects of childhood trauma and complex PTSD.
After years of working one-on-one with clients, Dr Ashleigh noticed a pattern: people were spending years in therapy without ever understanding why they were stuck. They had insight, but not the neurobiological understanding needed to change the patterns at their root.
Why Re-MIND Institute Exists
Re-MIND Institute was born from a simple observation: the people who healed fastest were the ones who understood what was happening in their brain and body. When someone could see their anxiety not as a character flaw but as a nervous system stuck in survival mode, everything shifted. When they could recognise their people-pleasing not as weakness but as a protective adaptation, compassion replaced shame.
Dr Ashleigh created Re-MIND to make this understanding accessible to everyone, not just those who could afford years of one-on-one clinical work. Every program is built on the same neuroscience-informed frameworks she uses in clinical practice, translated into language that makes sense and tools that actually work.
The approach is different from traditional therapy or self-help. It doesn't ask you to simply "think positive" or "let it go." It helps you understand why your brain does what it does, gives your nervous system the safety it needs, and then guides you through the process of genuine healing.
What Makes This Approach Different
Clinically Informed
Built on doctoral-level neuroplasticity research and years of direct clinical work with complex trauma across multiple therapeutic modalities.
Neuroscience-Based
Every concept is grounded in how the brain actually works: neuroplasticity, memory reconsolidation, and nervous system regulation.
Compassion-Led
No shame, no blame. You learn to see your patterns as adaptations that kept you safe, then gently build new ones.
Community-Supported
Healing doesn't happen in isolation. Our programs include community support from people who truly understand.

"You don't need to be fixed. You need to be understood. And once you understand what happened, you can finally begin to heal."
